All Coal Township were called in but then told to hold in quarters and only units responding proceed in and the rest go in service. I don’t understand why the county toned out the entire freaking Township. They’re has been MVAs over there bad ones and we don’t get toned out from other side of the township... what gives

It was 1007 in township not 107 in Shamokin

Box now placed in service

Here's an idea, if all of you would merge & quit acting like it was 1956, and have 1 common tone, then you could all go. And it wouldn't be a problem. Oh that's right, the bars are afraid of loosing their fire trucks.

Up in Mount Carmel if there’s a wreck or fire on the Marion hill near the summit Beaverdale gets the call first. But clover hose and anthracite fire company are closer but it’s in part of the township . It’s a screwed up situation. All fire company should be one in the same town . Because I noticed that when all of Mount Carmel fire companies and Mount Carmel township fire companies come together the work as one unit . Just my opinion

West end in coal township

The entrance ramp to Interstate 80 westbound at the Danville exit will be closed for several weeks for maintenance work.

Drivers seeking to enter Interstate 80 westbound from Route 54 in Valley Township just outside of Danville should use the established detour: Route 54 west to Route 254 west and enter Interstate 80 westbound at the Limestoneville (Exit 215) in Northumberland County.

The on-ramp is expected to be closed for several weeks, according to PennDOT.

Motorists should expect travel delays and lane changes. Motorists are urged to slow down, drive with caution, and be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.

Yes the ramp is closed right now

What type of maintenance work are they doing? That on ramp wasn’t even bad....compared to 100 other places.

Firewire Montour County, does it affect the 80 west off ramp?

When will this start?

I would probably just take 642 west to 147 north to 80 west. That would probably be quicker than driving all the way out to Washingtonville. Thanks for the heads up tho!

Lauren does Tyler know? This is going to bring a lot of traffic flow.

Federal Emergency Management Agency
Flood Advisory issued August 11 at 10:28PM EDT until August 12 at 1:30AM EDT by NWS Binghamton NY
Areas Affected: Susquehanna, PA; Sullivan, NY; Wayne, PA; Delaware, NY
The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Southern Delaware County in central New York...
Northwestern Sullivan County in central New York...
Northern Susquehanna County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
Northern Wayne County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 130 AM EDT.

* At 1027 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rockland, Jackson, Susquehanna, Susquehanna Depot, Montrose,
Harford, Hallstead, Andes, Hancock and Fremont.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Rain in Catawissa

The More Than Gentle Breeze I love the more than gentle breeze that blows my window curtain— The breeze that comes before a storm and makes the rain so certain. It seems to blow about my house, going from room to room, Carrying cooling temperature and with it, fresh perfume. I can’t resist-- I run outside to be in open spaces; The breeze -- it tries to part my hair in a thousand different places! Then the raindrops tumble down, and I must go inside; The breeze runs in behind me, the rain from which to hide. The storm blows o’er; the air is still; I rest upon my windowsill. Goodbye, my more than gentle friend, as you blow on around the bend. Sara Laidacker 1977
